Southern Industrial Electronics, Inc. was founded in 1989 and is focused on factory automation solutions for the manufacturing environment. Our philosophy is to provide simple solutions for complex applications. We provide resources, capabilities and expertise that go beyond the traditional role of a distributor.  

Customer Service. At SIE, we pride ourselves on the highest level of service to the customer. Several modes of communication are offered. While our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, our application specialists are available 24/7 to handle our customers' emergency needs. In addition, our website and email provide 24/7 convenience for any type of request. Our application specialists are also available for on-site calls, product demonstrations, and application assistance. Our office staff works hard to process orders in a timely manner and assist customers with technical details and product research.

Applications Assistance. Integral to the distribution of products is the technical assistance we offer utilizing over 20 years of experience in the application and support of automation equipment. Provide us with your application requirements and we will work closely with you to ensure you have what you need to get the job done. Our line-up of industry-leading products coupled with our in-house technical resources enable us to assist you with high quality parts, excellent product knowledge and superior application support. In addition, we dedicate an application specialist to each customer to meet with them, learn their current systems and processes, and provide training and recommendations that will improve their processes and meet their specific needs.

In a time when businesses in all fields suffer a high rate of turnover, we have been fortunate to keep a well-trained, capable staff of people in all departments. We do more than hire good people, however. We train them. We make sure they get training from our factory schools, local schools and from programs related to our business. In our company training is a priority. Our people do not go to a one-time training seminar. They start training on their first day on the job, and they continue to get the best training we can provide throughout their years at SIE.

 

2. Superior service was a key when we started business 20 years ago, and it's a key today. Our customers expect it, and we intend to provide it. There was a time when superior service meant simply putting a customer's order on a truck and getting it delivered promptly. Superior service today means a whole lot more. As plants have automated, it has become important for both outside and inside sales personnel to have advanced skills in understanding and selecting sophisticated products. As business has become computerized, it has become crucial that we provide a framework for doing business seamlessly in a digital age. Service is a more far reaching concept than it used to be, and we understand the importance of providing the service our customers require.
